A useful scissor review tells you more than “sharp” or “comfortable.” Look for the work behind the opinion.
- Technique: Was the reviewer cutting over a comb, detailing or thinning?
- Fit: What size and handle were they using?
- Time in use: Is it a first impression or feedback after regular chair work?
Then compare those comments with the product specifications and your own needs. A pair praised for long over-comb passes may feel too big if you mostly finish around ears. A compact detail shear may feel slow on broad sections.
