The Ichiro Hana Kit gives a barber both halves of a finished cut in one box: a 6.0” slice-edge cutter for shape and a matching thinner for texture and blending. For an apprentice building a first proper kit, or a barber wanting a coordinated pair, it covers the everyday workflow without having to hunt for matching tools.

Both scissors are forged from 440C steel at 58-60HRC, a hardness that keeps a usable edge through a full day while staying tough against daily sterilising. The cutter runs a convex slice edge for clean blunt work and guidelines; the thinner uses V-shaped teeth to remove weight and soften lines so fades and layers blend seamlessly into one another.

The offset handle on each blade lowers the thumb into a relaxed position, which matters when you’re switching between cutting and texturising dozens of times a service. At 6.0” both tools sit in the controllable, do-everything zone barbers rely on. The Hana is a sensible, well-matched kit that takes a haircut from blunt shape through to a soft, professional finish.
