Joewell is a Japanese maker of professional cutting shears. Its range is organised by handle more than by finish: traditional classic-handle cutters, offset cutters, a few special alloys at the top, and a dedicated left-hand model. Most Joewell cutters are sold singly, so you choose the thinner on its own.
Who Joewell is for
Working barbers ready for a premium daily cutter who already know their length and handle. It is a strong pick if you want a classic handle in a premium Japanese shear. Apprentices are better served by Mina, Ichiro or Jaguar until their technique settles.
The Joewell models

Price tier
Joewell is premium. The New Era and SZ Semi are the entry point, the Classic and FX lines sit in the middle, and the Cobalt, FX LEFTY and Supreme Symmetric are at the top.
Care and servicing
Wipe after each client, oil the pivot at the end of the day and store each shear closed in its own slot. Check the tension when you oil: the blades should close smoothly without the tips crossing hard.
