Kasho is a Japanese professional shear brand. Its range is built in cutting series, each defined by a steel and a finish, and most series come with a straight (classic) handle or an offset handle. Kasho thinners and texturisers sit alongside the Design Master and Green series.
Who Kasho is for
Experienced barbers choosing a premium Japanese cutter by steel and handle. Kasho suits barbers who want the same series in a straight and an offset version, or who want to step from V10W to ATS314 or SG2 without changing brand. Apprentices are better served by an entry-level pair first.

What each tier is for
- V10W series: the everyday Kasho cutters. The Balanced Precision Offset is the in-stock way in; Design Master, Blue, Ivory and Chrome add straight, offset and left-hand choices.
- ATS314 series: Silver and Sagano, a step up in cobalt steel.
- SG2 series: Millennium, in a powder steel, for barbers who want the top of the Kasho range.
- Finishing: Design Master thinners and texturisers in 15 and 38 teeth, and the Green thinner.
Many Kasho models are on pre-order at any time, and each product page shows its status.
Choosing within Kasho
Pick the handle first: straight if you cut on level rings, offset if your thumb ring sits lower, semi-offset for something in between. Then pick the steel tier: V10W for an everyday premium cutter, ATS314 or SG2 when you want to step up without changing your handle.
Price tier
Kasho is premium. The V10W Design Master and Balanced Precision cutters are the entry point, Silver and Sagano sit above them, and Millennium in SG2 is the top of the Kasho range.

Questions
Where is Kasho from?
Japan. Kasho is a Japanese professional shear brand with cutting series in V10W, ATS314 and SG2 steel.
Which Kasho steel should I choose?
V10W on most series, ATS314 on Silver and Sagano, and SG2, a powder steel, on Millennium. Choose the steel tier first, then the handle. The steel guide explains each label.
Straight or offset Kasho?
Straight is Kasho's classic handle with level rings; offset drops the thumb ring below the finger ring. Several series come in both, so pick the series for the steel and the handle for your grip.
Does Kasho make left-handed shears?
Yes. The Ivory and Design Master series both have left-hand offset cutters, and each product page shows its stock status. More left-hand options are in left-handed shears.
Is Kasho a good first shear?
No. Kasho is a premium buy for barbers who know their length and handle. The Kasho Balanced Precision Offset in V10W is the in-stock way into the range.
